Partners
We are so proud to support the work of organizations fighting to protect nature and human rights. We give back 3% of our yearly revenue to the following carefully vetted partners: 1% For The Planet, Room To Read, and Dirt.
Packaging
Zonarch is excited to be a part of the prAna Responsible Packaging Movement, which aims to reinvent the way we collectively package and ship in order to reduce plastic, paper waste and carbon footprint. At Zonarch, we have reached our initial goal to launch the brand with a zero plastic policy. Meaning, there are no plastic or recycled plastic components in our packaging, shipping, and handling. Our secondary goal is to ensure all paper packaging is sustainably sourced from regenerative or recycled paper. Furthermore, we are progressing on our goal to become a Certified B-Corp and continue Fair Trade Certifications across our supply chain.
Made in USA
100% Of our collections are manufactured by vetted partners in the USA, 90% of which are made in a Los Angeles based factory <50 miles from Zonarch HQ's. Workers are paid a living wage according to California standards and laws. This includes workers being paid by the hour, not by a per piece model.
Prior to beginning to work with any partner, we check with in-person visits and receive written confirmation that the 4 Fundamental Principles & Rights at Work are met from the supplier. These principle are focused on four priority areas:
- Freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining
- The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
- The effective abolition of child labour
- The elimination of each form of forced or compulsory labour
Choosing to manufacture locally not only supports the local industry and economy, it reduces our carbon footprint and most importantly requires the fair treatment and strict safety protocol for workers. We foster our factory relationships with +20 factory visits per year and are proud to work with them.
Materials
We have written an in-depth breakdown on our chosen raw materials and packaging which you can read here.
Digital Printing
By choosing digital print technologies over traditional textile printing, we are using a sustainable solution to combat the negative impacts found in the dyeing and printing process. It allows us to reduce water and energy waste by eliminating excess post processing. Only 10% of color pigments is needed with digital printing compared to traditional screen printing. In turn, it prevents further contamination the environment with dye and numerous toxic chemicals used in the manufacture of both textile fabrics, inks, printing and the finishing of products.
Collaboration, not Competition
We believe in collaborating as an industry sector to combat the challenges we face in our global neighborhood. Please reach out to hello@zonarch.com if we can help share additional creative solutions and innovations for your company's path to a better tomorrow.
